Adjustments and Settings are simple

There are 26 memories (SETs) labeled A through Z.  Each SET memory contains all the data for all 4 channels of the timer system. 

The Shaft Encoder allows engineering distance units to be used for all settings.  The Shaft encoder is common for all channels.

Settings may be protected from operator adjustment using numeric passwords.  This feature may be disabled if not required.

An optional run up control can be added.  It has high and low speed adjustments.  It can be used with pressure tanks, fluid regulators, or metering pumps.

When a data line is entered, the entire number is highlighted. This allows fine tuning adjustments using the + and buttons.

 

Depressing the Left or Right buttons moves the highlight to a specific digit of the setting. Then large adjustments can be made.

 

Selecting distance units will use the shaft encoder based position data in those units. When distance is selected, the compensation time will be displayed.

The timer is reconfigured to count scaled distance rather than time for the delay. This has made the timer into a shaft encoded delay with real on time unit.

 

 

 

 

A wide variety of standard and custom DC pattern Controllers, which are based on a DSP (Digital Signal Processor), are suitable for use with heated and non-heated Electromatic Applicator Heads from Spraymation. Controllers may be configured in either real time (milliseconds), or shaft encoder based (inches or millimeters). A universal circuit accepts passive contacts, DC voltage, photocell/light source, or open collector actuation methods. Spraymation timing is very accurate, adjustable in 0.1 millisecond, 0.01 inch or 0.1 millimeter increments.

Accessories to tailor the Pattern control to any application

This is the basic break the beam dual units 452066-E and 452066-R. They use modulated infrared light that is not affected by ambient light. They have a gain adjustment for semi transparent materials of long distances. They can be used up to 8 feet apart.

This is the retro-reflective unit 452068 (needs 452067 reflector). It is intended for sensing larger items. It uses modulated infrared light that is not affected by ambient light that is reflected by a special mirror. It has a gain adjustment for semi transparent materials or long distances. They can be used with up to 10 feet between sensor and reflector.

This is a laser retro-reflective unit 452064. It is intended for sensing small fast items or register marks. This is the fastest sensor in the group and has a repeatability of under 0.01 inches. It uses modulated laser light that is not affected by ambient light that is reflected by a special mirror. They can be used with up to 2 inches between sensor and reflector or target.

The shaft encoder kit, 307582-30, consists of the standard Spraymation 1000 pulse per revolution shaft encoder and a 30 foot cable, with connectors and strain relief. Adding this kit to a 3480 timer makes it SE.

Wheels are available for direct distance measuring.

Programming can be done in linear distance with 0.01 inch or 0.1 mm resolution.
